The Stamford Woman’s Club is a nonprofit organization that was formed to advance the cultural and educational well being of the Stamford community through grants for scholarships and gifts to local charities and cultural activities. The Club qualifies as a tax-exempt local organization under the Internal revenue Code Section 501(c)(3) and is classified as a private foundation, maintaining a fund consisting of accumulated gifts, major bequests and any operating income from the Club’s programs and activities. The fund’s diversified investment portfolio is managed by TIAA-CREFF.

The Object
The object of the Club shall be to bring together women interested in subjects of general, environmental and social importance; to constitute a potent factor in the higher development and welfare of the community; to furnish a meeting place for the club’s members.
